The Sea
THE SEA is a fast-paced, highly topical thriller set on a little known stage: the largely lawless space of the worlds’ oceans, where no rules apply and where, despite fishing quotas and endless internatonal negotations, a silent ecocide is ongoing.
In that setting, “The Sea” confronts its protagonists and the viewer with highly topical, urgent questions we are all facing: Where do we draw the line between political engagement, activism and terrorism? What room for maneuver do we have left in view of the ever faster approaching global environmental threats? How much does family allegiance count when the survival of the worlds’ oceans is at stake?
